Boots Partners With The Hygiene Bank and Fareshare to Donate 200,000 Toiletries to NHS Staff

Boots UK is continuing to help support the nation in as many ways as possible during the pandemic. Earlier in the week, it was announced that Boots will launch a drive-through COVID-19 testing facility for NHS workers in Nottingham, with the hopes of opening more over the coming weeks and months, too. Now, the health-and-beauty retailer and pharmacy chain has joined forces with The Hygiene Bank (an initiative that donates personal care products to those in need) and Fareshare (a charity aimed at relieving food poverty) to donate as many personal care products as possible to those who need them most right now.

Boots will not only donate over over 200,000 essential toiletries to NHS hospital workers but also to charities that support the vulnerable. And in partnership with FareShare and The Hygiene Bank, they will distribute bathroom essentials to schools and food banks across the country. Donations will include shower gel, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner, in addition to hand and body lotions from brands such as No7 and Soap & Glory. These essential hygiene and personal care items will allows extremely busy frontline staff to get the proper care they require during busy shifts and relieve any pressure this may cause.

This isn't Boots's first partnership with The Hygiene Bank. The two partnered back in February with the announcement of donation bins being placed in Boots stores, enabling easy toiletry donations for personal care items to be distributed to local charities.
